Aleksei Shaw

Born and raised in Australia, Aleksei Shaw specializes primarily in figurative and landscape art, he is also eager to share knowledge in a teaching role and further his own knowledge and experience in monumental art forms and technologies. His art explores the experience within our surrounding physical world, focusing on human interactions with nature and within private and public spaces.

His exploration of monumental painting techniques and styles is a response to an environment of art and architecture that is driven by profit or ideologies of austerity with great detriment to our natural world as well as quality of life. My focus and goal in my art is to create sustainable artwork that maintains a healthy relationship with its environment, in a way that embraces the functional value of decorative and monumental art forms to add value and beauty to the spaces we inhabit.
